Marvel Comics Secret Wars by RyanBarger Marvel Comics Secret Wars by RyanBarger
An homage to one of my favorite comic series of my youth, the original Marvel Comics Secret Wars. This is a pretty close replica of the original Issue #1 cover illustrated by Mike Zeck, with a few small changes to positioning and costumes where appropriate.

If you're interested in browsing prints of this and other pieces, check out my print-on-demand gallery at: pixels.com/profiles/ryan-barge…

I hope you enjoy! And of course, the characters and all related elements are trademark and copyright Marvel Comics.

Evening art fans!

I've recently decided to make some of my older, more circulated illustrations like Batman & Foes, Secret Wars, Superman Over Metropolis and Punisher Execution available for sale as prints-on-demand via Pixels.com ( pixels.com/profiles/ryan-barge… ). I've also refurbished them a bit to bring them more in line with some of my more current work, and have uploaded the revised versions here on Deviant Art as well as my own site. If you've been hankering to have one of these pieces hanging on a wall for a while now, I encourage you to head on over to my page at Pixels.com and/or Fineartamerica.com (basically the same site, though the former also offers my images for sale as custom iphone cases) and have a browse!

In addition to softening the shading on many of the characters and adding enhanced detail to faces/costumes where appropriate, I also updated the color scheme of the background to make the figures pop a bit better. If you're interested in browsing available print options for this piece, check out: pixels.com/featured/marvel-com…

Thanks and I hope you enjoy!

The first cross-over is still the best.
